ARTifariti 2021: SAND, BLOOD AND SALT
ARTifariti in its XV edition and in its second online version, withdraws from the Western Sahara desert the caravan of international artists who meet every year in Tifariti (free zone) or in the Sahrawi refugee camps to join the international community through their online version.
THE PROCESS: talk about the importance of art and culture as engines for the resistance of a silenced society, the Saharawi, and as ways of knowing a conflict, making a deep collective critical reflection on the violation of human rights and the political role of art as a form to protest, to say enough! and to jump the borders that control information.
THE GOAL: to influence the transformation towards a better world and a Free Sahara and to spread the voice of those people whose names have been taken from them.
